7-Days Kenya Safari: An Artful Combination of Kenya’s Most Breathtaking Safari Destinations
If we had to pick the most magical African safari destination, it would, without an inkling of doubt, be Kenya. Yes! You heard that right- Kenya. The place where the planet’s single-largest mammal trek begins… Where Africa’s second-largest mountain, Mount Kenya, calls home and where more than 25,000 animal species and 7000 plant species thrive beautifully.
This 7-day Kenya safari takes us to three of this country’s finest safari destinations- Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara. In Lake Naivasha, you will discover an astounding population of hippos and flamingoes, as well as a diversely beautiful landscape featuring towering peaks, lush grasslands, and scattered acacias.
In Lake Nakuru, you will see the Black and white rhinos, as well as 4 four of the big 5.
In the Mara, you will discover the Big Five as well as an impressive population of over 90 different mammal species. The park also famously hosts the world’s largest animal migration-the great migration.

The Detailed 7 Days Kenya Luxury Safari Itinerary
This itinerary covers and includes everything from the moment you land in Kenya’s JKIA to the moment you board your flight back home.
Day 1: Welcome to Kenya & Transfer to Giraffe Manor
Welcome to Kenya! We will be waiting at JKIA to receive you when you land in Kenya. We will take you straight from the airport to the hotel, Giraffe Manor. You will spend your first day here and get the chance to interact with the giraffes both at the hotel and the Giraffe Center.
You will get to feed, pet, kiss, and even take selfies with the endangered Rothchilds Giraffe during your stay. Enjoy great food and have a lovely day at the hotel.
Day 2: Fly to Naivasha - Stay at Loldia House
Begin your day with a sumptuous breakfast served in Manor’s tropical garden, then join us for a scenic short flight to Naivasha. On arrival, we check you into Loldia House, a lovely farmhouse nestled on the shores of Lake Naivasha.
Loldia House is an authentic Kenyan home situated on an old farm. Here, you get to enjoy the gentle breeze from Lake Naivasha, relax by the swimming pool, or head for a game drive.
Each room is surrounded by a beautiful garden and offers the perfect view of Mount Longonot. Take in incredible views of Mount Longonot as you devour a delicious lunch from your cottage, relax by the pool, and then, in the afternoon, head out for a boat safari.
See, nothing spells magic like a boat safari through the sparkling waters of Lake Naivasha. With it comes a dumbfounding unveiling of the region’s affluent bird population as well as jaw-dropping views of Mt. Longonot from a distance.
Keep those eyes peeled for flamingoes, the saddle-billed stork, the goliath heron, and the pink-backed pelicans.
Day 3: Day Trip to Lake Nakuru- Full-Day Game Drive
Day 3 begins with a hearty breakfast that is succeeded by a 2-hour drive to the stunning Lake Nakuru National Park. The plan is to treat you to a full day of game drives, and boy, will you have time.
The first is the morning game drive, a venture dedicated to unveiling the over 56 mammal species resident of the park. Lions carefreely roaming the savannah, elephants taking mud baths, leopards napping on trees, hyenas laughing hysterically, zebras munching on grass- that is the kind of adventure Lake Nakuru promises.
Other notable wildlife in the park includes over 100 black and white rhinos, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, dik-dik, and gazelles.
Your afternoon game drive begins after a sumptuous lunch taken in the park’s heart, and this one is dedicated to exploring the park’s diversely beautiful landscape. From towering escarpments to picturesque ridges, bushy grasslands, and wooden savannahs, no inch of the park goes unexplored.
Day 4: Fly to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive
A delicious breakfast, of course, and then a light aircraft flight from Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara. Our safari representative will receive you upon arrival and chauffeur you to the classically elegant Governor’s Camp.
The camp sits on the banks of the Mara River in the heart of the Masai Mara, so rest assured of incredible views, whether you’re seated in your room or dining in their restaurant.
We pick you up in the evening for an evening game drive. To say the Mara evening game drive is beautiful is a gross understatement. So, instead, we’ll paint a picture of it and let you describe it how you best see fit.
There’s a lot of wildlife, from lions to giraffes, elephants, gazelles, zebras, dik-dik, rhinos, wildebeests, cheetahs, antelopes, waterbucks, bushbucks, you name it. There are a lot of birds, too, like the Hamerkop, Turaco, Rollers, mousebird, starling, hornbill, kingfisher, and Stork.
And the landscape… God, is it breathtaking, from the golden grasslands to the scattered acacias and towering escarpments. And finally, we have the sunset, the definite star of the show. She bathes the park in a beautiful orange, setting the perfect mood for our drive back to the camp.
Day 5: Morning and Afternoon Game Drives at Masai Mara
The Mara holds one of the largest wildlife concentrations in Africa. Today, we introduce you to it on a full-day game drive. Your exploration begins at sunrise, which has been the best time for game drives because wildlife prefers to hunt/graze in cool morning temperatures.
Carefully and artfully, we slowly drive you across the vast Mara savannah, your guide doing his best to point out and ‘explain’ some of the wildlife we come across on our way.
There are more than 90 different mammal species to be sighted, including the Big Five, a massive predator population (the largest in East Africa), and over 450 bird species.
After the morning game drive, you will head to the camp for rest, lunch, and then the afternoon game drive. Afternoon game drives are dedicated to exploring the vast Mara landscape, from the Oloololo Escarpment to the Mara Triangle, Mara River, Talek River, and golden grasslands.
We treat you to a sundowner in the evening before driving you to the camp for dinner.
Day 6: Hot-Air Balloon Safari & Afternoon Game Drive
Achingly beautiful, enchantingly varied, and wild, the Mara is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. And to experience all this beauty on a hot-air balloon safari? Absolutely magical!
We pick you up from your camp just before sunrise and drive you to the hot-air balloon’s take-off site. Here, you’ll enjoy a cup of chai as you watch the staff prepare the balloon for takeoff. Minutes later, you are high above the Mara, indulging in what we’re sure will be the highlight of your safari.
Exceptionally showcased is Mara’s vast wildlife and its varied landscapes- we’re talking golden grasslands, grazing herds, hunting pride, scavenging clans… you get the gist.
The ride is one hour long, after which you are treated to a delicious champagne bush breakfast served in the park’s heart. We drive you back to your camp after that, where you’ll spend most of your day before; again, we pick you up for an afternoon game drive.
Day 7: Masai Village Visit & Flight Back to Nairobi
Breakfast, an early morning check-out, and then a drive to the Maasai villages. Here, you get to interact with the Maasai, a tribe that has, for centuries now, peacefully co-existed with the wildlife in the Mara.
There’s a lot to learn here- like how to make fire by rubbing two sticks together (in case you ever get trapped on an island), the famous Adumu dance, and wilderness survival tactics (like running in a zigzag pattern when attacked by a rhino).
You also get to marvel at their unique huts- built from human urine, sticks, mud, cow dung, and dust- and at their beautiful beadwork, which we highly recommend you purchase (it supports the community).
An hour later, we are on our way to the Keekorok Airstrip, where you’ll board your flight to Nairobi. We will meet you when you land at Wilson Airport and transfer you to JKIA for your international flight.
