The Summarised, 3 Days Safari in Meru National Park

The Detailed 3-Day Meru National Park Safari

Let us now look at the detailed 3-day Meru national park safari to give you an idea of what you should expect.

You can easily combine your Meru National Park Safari with a 3 Days Samburu National Reserve Safari or a 3 Days Ol Pejeta Conservancy Safari.

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi, Transfer to Meru, & Evening Game Drive

Our safari guides are knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, punctual.

Expect your assigned guide to be at the agreed pick-up point at the arranged time. The rest, like we love to say, is fun and laughs.

On arrival, the guide checks you into the hotel and leaves you to have lunch and an hour’s rest. That is the perfect time for an evening game drive.

The evening game drive introduces you to the pomp and beauty of the Meru National Park. You briefly explore the park’s lush grasslands and the many animals scattered around it.

Look out for the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and, if you’re lucky, pythons. You end your game drive with an optional epic sundowner.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Meru National Park with Packed

The Meru National Park is wild and breathtakingly beautiful. Nothing brings this beauty to life better than a breakfast taken on your room’s balcony at sunrise.

You are at the heart of the park an hour later, ready for what is to many, the adventure of a lifetime. Look out for the wildlife.

There are at least 40 different species in the park, from the Big 5 to giraffes, elands, reedbucks, hartebeests, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, bush pigs, waterbucks, and puff udders.

There’s also a colourful vibrance of birds to match, over 427 species to be specific, and an ambience so pristine it’s almost dreamlike.

The first leg of your game drive ends with a scenic lunch taken at the heart of the park. Then you continue with the afternoon game drive after lunch.

The afternoon game drive introduces you to the magical, almost surreal side of the Meru National Park.

Thanks to its lush jungle, coursing rivers, thriving swamps, grasslands, and scattered acacias, it’s lovely.

Allow yourself a moment to take it all in and when you’re done picking your jaws from the floor, take a picture or ten to freeze the moment.

Evening game drives are the soiree of the jungle. As the temperatures begin to fall, the predators emerge from hiding, the herbivores are jolted from inactivity, and the birds are at their liveliest.

The show gets even better as the sun begins to set. It’s pure bliss!
