Introduction
The Karen Blixen Museum is a historic house where Baroness Karen Blixen once lived with her husband. The famous movie “Out of Africa,” which won an Oscar, tells the story of her life in Kenya and is based on her autobiography. This charming house was built in 1912 and was purchased by the couple in 1917, serving as the farmhouse for their vast 4,500-acre estate, with 600 acres dedicated to coffee farming. Visiting this museum feels like stepping back in time, offering a glimpse into the life of this extraordinary woman.
