9-Day Kenya Safari - Tsavo West, Amboseli & Masai Mara
We’ve created this 9-day Kenya safari to provide an in-depth and intimate look at some of our countries most eye-brightening safari destinations.
We begin in Tsavo West, which, according to James, our company CEO, embodies the very best of Kenya’s charms.
We then pay homage to the dramatic and flamboyantly elegant Amboseli, known for its huge elephant herds and stunning views of Kilimanjaro. And last but not least, the Giraffe Center, where guests can feed, pet, and kiss the endangered Rothchilds Giraffe.

We show it all, from the crystal clear waters of Mzima Springs to the open grasslands, dense scrublands, acacia woodlands, riverine forests, towering escarpments, and rocky ridges.

Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in Amboseli
Amboseli is, without a doubt, one of Kenya’s most beautiful and inviting national parks. Lucky for you, day 5 is all dedicated to her.
Your adventure begins at sunrise, and we must warn you- it will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. See, morning is when the wild is most active (thanks to the cool morning temperatures)…
Thousands of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, dik-dik, topis, bushbucks, and waterbucks throng the grasslands leisurely and quietly grazing. And not too far away lies a pride of lions, patiently waiting for the right moment to strike (insert dramatic music).
Morning is also when the highly elusive leopard emerges from the shadows- his/her mind set on one thing only … prey.
Watch the drama unfold from the safety of your 4×4 Safari Landcruiser, and please take lots of pictures (you’ll regret not doing it).
At midday, we find a safe spot in the park and settle for a delicious packed lunch.
Your afternoon game drive begins at 3:00 P.M.
In the heart of Amboseli lies an Observation Hill, which offers a dumbfounding bird’s eye view of the park. That is where our sights are turned to on this afternoon game drive.
We also hit up the Sinet Delta, which lies not too far away from the observation hill. The delta is dominated by acacia making it a favorite chill spot for giraffes and countless bird species. It (the delta) also offers exceptional views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Sundowner and more wildlife watching are how we mark our evening, after which we drive you back to your camp in time for dinner.
Dinner and Overnight Stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Day 7: Full Day Game Drive at Masai Mara
Masai Mara…
This diverse and wild land… This epic paradise of rugged landscapes, sprawling savannahs, spectacular wildlife diversities, and towering escarpments.
Day 7 is fully dedicated to exploring her beauty and my is it quite the experience.
Our morning game drive begins just before sunrise and as you wander Mara’s breathtaking grasslands, you will catch a glimpse of leaping gazelles, limping hyenas, grazing elephants, and preying lions.
Depending on when you book this safari, you are also likely to stumble upon the iconic Great Wildebeest Migration*, a one-of-a-kind spectacle graced by over 2 million wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras.
And it gets better..
The Mara is one of the few places in Africa where you can catch all of the Big Five as well as over 450 bird species. It also houses one of the largest predator population in Africa so keep those eyes peeled for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, and wild dogs.
In the afternoon, we find a shady spot in the park and settle for lunch.
Your afternoon game drive begins an hour later.
Rolling hills, verdant grasslands, winding rivers, towering escarpments and, of course, the wildlife, the Mara is arguably one of the world’s most amazing attractions.
On this afternoon game drive, we introduce you to some of Mara’s most revered attractions including the Mara and Talek River, Oloololo Escarpment, the Ngama Hills, Loita Hills, and its riverine forests.
We also give you an exhaustive tour around the Mara plains, which offer an excellent vantage point for wildlife viewing.
In the evening, as the sun begins to set, we pop a glass of champagne and watch in awe the magic that happens when sunset meets savannah.
Dinner and Overnight Stay at the Mara Entim Camp
Day 8: Hot Air Balloon Safari and Afternoon Game Drive
Imagine the excitement of gliding above the Mara landscape on a hot-air balloon. The lush grasslands, the moving wildlife, the brush of cold air against your cheeks… just imagine that!
We give you a chance to experience this magical adventure on day 8 of your safari.
We will pick you up from Mara Entim at 5:30 a.m, drive you to the balloon’s take off point where you will enjoy a hot cup of chai as you watch the balloons prepare for take off.
You are on air just as the sun begins to rise and we should warn you- what you are about to experience is perspective-altering, to say the least.
For an hour you are treated to sprawling savannahs, rolling hills, rugged landscapes, countless wildlife, winding rivers, and so much more.
And it gets better…
After the ride, your tastebuds are taken on an adventure of their own with a champagne breakfast served at the heart of the Mara.
We drive back to the camp where you spend the rest of your morning and then at around 3 p.m. we drive you back to the park for an afternoon game drive.

Don’t forget to thank them for their hospitality and leave a good review if you can.Head to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. This scenic flight usually takes around 45 minutes, during which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Mara plains and spot wildlife from above.
